As a
former military air traffic controller I understand the
meaning of stress and all that comes with it. I worked a
lot of hours, smoked a lot of cigarettes, ate a lot of bad
food and ‘de-stressed’ with a lot of beer. A lifestyle like
that can last only so long until something has to give.
Fortunately for me that something was the realization that
I had to get some help and that help came from a
friend who encouraged me to start exercising. That was 1982
and since then I have run seven marathons, competed in
numerous triathlons, half Ironmans and even one Ironman
triathlon.
That is
not said to impress you, (OK… maybe a little) but to
impress
on you that I have been where you are and I can
help you to get to where you want to be. Maybe your goal
isn’t to do an Ironman but to lose those 25 pounds that have
come on over the past few years. Perhaps you have so many
aches and pains that the thought of exercising just scares
you. Or maybe you secretly have wanted to do a marathon but
had no idea of how to go about it. I promise you I can
help. I have seen is all over the past 25 years and I have
seen what works and what doesn’t work.
In the 25 years that I have been involved in the fitness world I
have seen one common denominator in people's success or failure in
achieving their goals. Achieving your fitness or weight loss
goals begins and ends with the belief that you are
ultimately the one who has to make the goal happen.
No pill, machine, diet or person can guarantee your success, only
you can. Unfortunately, very few people truly believe
they can actually achieve their goals. They have hope, but the
belief is not there.
You and I start with with your current emotional and physical
comfort level.
You will help me to know you as I, in turn, teach you the how's and
why's of your own body. With this knowledge and synergy, we
will work to restore your belief that you really can
accomplish your fitness and weight loss goals.
With your restored belief, and with time, you will watch your body and
outlook on life
change.
